Epic Games has shared another update on Fortnite’s beleaguered Playground Limited Time Mode, which remains in limbo for now.
Fortnite’s Playground LTM still isn’t live, but Epic Games has spent the weekend trying to hammer out the kinks, with the latest update telling players that it looks “promising.”
“We have some system performance goals that we believe are required in order to relaunch the Playground LTM,” read the update on Reddit.
“We’ve continued working towards these goals over the weekend and our most recent load tests look promising, but there are some anomalies in the data that we still need to understand.”
The studio said it needs to investigate “other test scenarios” that includes:
- Exhausting server capacity
- Matchmaking queue back-pressure specific to the LTM
- Recovering when new capacity is added, etc.
The Playground LTM was supposed to roll out at the start of last week, but was taken offline less than two hours after it went live.
Epic has continued to keep players updated about the issues it’s having, but so far, it’s unknown as to when the LTM will actually launch.
“It’s hard to know whether we’ll have to make any additional system changes in order to meet our test goals right now,” the update continues, with the studio promising another status update on Playgound later today.
You can prep for when the mode drops by reading up on how it works, how long you can play for, and everything else you’ll need to know before you dive in.
