Fallout 76 already drops under £40 on console during Black Friday

Fallout 76 has only been out for a week and retailers are already dropping the price of the messy multiplayer RPG to below £40 on both consoles.

With the Black Friday sales hot on our heels, The Game Collection has listed Fallout 76 for £39.95 on PS4 and Xbox One via Amazon UK.

Currently, most other retailers have the online adaptation of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG floating around the £50 mark, so this represents quite a big discount in such a short space of time.

Will that cut in price during the Black Friday sales be enough to tempt you, though? Response from press and players so far has been less-than-enthusiastic, to say the least. Complaints have focused on the game being a broken and buggy shambles, as well as a drastic lack of life in the game world.

Bethesda has a near 50GB patch on the way that will begin to address some of Fallout 76’s major issues, yet whether that will be enough to revitalise the game is tough to say for sure considering sales of Fallout 76 are down over 80% compared to Fallout 4.

As we approach Black Friday we’re waiting for prices on all this year’s most wanted tech to drop harder than a Fallout 76 nuke. We’re tracking all the best Ps4 Black Friday deals, Xbox One Black Friday offers and Nintendo Switch Black Friday sales over the coming days.
