Fire Breathers Test Exam Answers
On the southern outskirts of Charleston you’ll stumble across a pretty rare sight in Fallout 76: a friendly face. Standing outside the Charleston Fire Department is a Firefighter Protectron who invites you to join an elite Responder unit – The Fire Breathers, who track down and extinguish the scorched one by one.
In the back of the fire station, you’ll find three terminals containing the Knowledge Exam that you have to pass to join up.
If you’re of an inquisitive – or hard-core roleplaying – disposition, you can find the answers to each question scattered on notes throughout the building. But if you just want to complete the quest and claim the reward, here are the Fire Breathers Test Exam Answers.
The answer order appears to be semi-randomised for different players, but I got them in the following sequence:
Question 1: The tunnel you’re traversing has begun filling up with a strange gas and you’re without your breathing apparatus. What do you do?
- Answer: Evacuate as quickly as possible
Question 2: While traversing a smoke-filled building, your breathing apparatus has failed. Which of the following will serve as the best replacement?
- Answer: A water soaked rag
Question 3: One of you fellow Fire Breathers has been burned. The area is painful to the touch, but no blisters are forming. You’ve applied a cool compress. What’s the next thing you should do?
- Answer: Gently bind the burn with clean bandages
Question 4: While exploring a collapsed mine, your team leader flashes their safety light quickly three times. What does this mean?
- Answer: Retreat imediately
Question 5: One of your squadmates has caught a case of Sludge Lung. Which of the following sets of ingredients, when cooked together, can be used as a cure?
- Answer: Purified Water, Ash Rose, Blight, Soot Flower
Question 6: You’ve stumbled upon a band of Scorch-diseased people brandishing clubs. Which of the following is the ONLY acceptable method of engaging them?
- Answer: Fall back and engage from a distance with firearms:
Question 7: You’ve captured a Scorch-infected man who you recognize as a childhood friend. What do you do?
- Answer: End his life as mercifully as possible
With that you’ll have completed the exam correctly, and directed to take the physical exam which is over to the north, by the Charleston Herald building – congrats! Go show the scorch who’s boss.
