Fortnite is still going strong, but Season 3 is coming to a close in just over a week. And that means Fortnite Season 4 is about to begin. Yowsers.
The first official tease for Fortnite Season 4 from Epic is a piece of art that gives us a few clues. Checking out the character skin, it looks decidedly superheroic doesn’t it? With that mask and muscular physique? Could superheroes be the theme for Season 4, carrying on from Season 3’s Space theme?
And that’s definitely a comet in the artwork. So is that what we’ve been watching the skies for, trying to figure out whether it would blow up Tilted Towers? What if Season 4 begins with a comet from space bringing all the superhero skins you could shake your V-Bucks at? Hell yeah.
For now we can only speculate, but it won’t be long before Epic fully spills the beans on Fortnite Season 4 in a couple of days.
When does Fortnite Season 4 start?
Well, let’s put it this way. Season 3 of Fortnite finishes on April 30. That’s when you’ll have had your last 7 days working on Week 10 challenges. So the assumption is that Fortnite Season 4 will being immediately after, on May 1.
Epic has yet to share details on Fortnite Season 4, but we can expect it to be as tumultuous as Season 3.
Over the past 10 weeks Fortnite players have been handed new weapons while other have been nerfed, the addition of new resources like the vending machines, troublesome downtime and apologetic rewards, free outfits from the likes of Twitch and other popular skins that require a bunch of V-Bucks. Even now, days before the end of the season, Epic has thrown us sticky grenades.
And then there was the massive launch of Fortnite on mobile, which pulled in an extra $25 million on iOS for developer Epic.
It’s fair to assume that Fortnite’s Android release will be a priority, so expect it to go live during Season 4.
Then of course there’s the rumour that just won’t die: Tilted Towers is going to be destroyed by a comet. Considering it wasn’t long ago that Epic added a bunch of new locations to Fortnite’s map, it’s not a stretch to see it nuke one entirely. It removes weapons it finds upset the balance, so it’s the same principle.
How much does Fortnite’s Season 4 Battle Pass cost?
We’d be surprised if the Fortnite Season 4 Battle Pass was more expensive than the last season. At 950 V-Bucks – £7.99 / $7.99 in real money – it’s a perfect entry-level price. We also expect a return of the Battle Bundle, which cost 2800 V-Bucks (£19.99 / $19.99 in real money) but unlocked a couple of outfits instantly, as well as a trail, glider, bonus XP and more.
Season 3 increased the number of tiers to the Battle Pass too, so don’t be surprised if than numbers rises from 100. We’ll just have to keep an eye on that.
