Stardew Valley publisher Chucklefish revealed a new game today called Eastward. Developed by a small Shanghai-based indie game studio called Pixpil, Eastward is an adventure game set in a world on the verge of collapse, with RPG and dungeon-crawling elements and influences from '90s anime, The Legend of Zelda, and the Mother series. It's coming to PC and Mac, but has not been given a release date.
In Eastward, you control a worker named John, who has to guide a young girl named Sam through a series of dangerous cities. While Eastward is set in a decaying world with a slowly shrinking human population, the characters you do meet seem quirky and full of life.
