Fortnite is back for Season 4 and its added a bunch of new challenges to the mix – and yes, they all reward you with groovy unlocks.
Fortnite Season 4 still features the weekly challenges, updated every Tuesday and offering a stack of Battle Stars and XP to help you climb the Tiers.
But it’s also added a couple of new challenges; Carbide and Blockbuster. These are fairly straight forward and are focused on rewarding progression rather than tasking you with getting a certain number of headshots or finding a hidden thing.
It’s worth noting these challenges are only available if you have the Season 4 Battle Pass.
Carbide Challenges
As the name suggests, completing these will unlock new gear and clothing for the character Carbide, one of the new skins in Fortnite Season 4.
Here’s the rewards you get for progression:
- Reach Season level 10 – unlocks chest plate
- Reach Season level 20 – unlocks leg armour
- Reach Season level 30 – unlocks arm armour
- Reach Season level 40 – unlocks face armour
- Reach Season level 65 – unlocks upper body armour
Complete just 3 of these 5 challenges and you’ll unlock the Carbide pickaxe.
Blockbuster Challenges
Completing all of the Blockbuster Challenges is no easy feat but as a reward it will unlock a mystery skin. You will have to complete 7 weekly challenges in total – that’s all challenges in a week seven times – to unlock the mystery skin.
