Fortnite Season 4 Week 1 Challenges – how to earn extra XP and Battle Stars

Fortnite Season 4 is finally upon us! And with a brand-new season, a host of brand-new challenges await. Here’s how to complete every one of the Season 4, Week 1 challenges in Fortnite.

This week completing any four challenges will net you 5,000XP, so now that Fortnite is back online after the brief downtime to get the update up-and-running, it’s time to get started.

You’ll have to own the Season 4 Battle Pass to have access to these challenges, which is available from the in-game store for 950 V-Bucks.

Fortnite Season 4 Week 1 Challenges:

  • Deal 500 damage with Sniper Rifles to opponents – 5 Stars
This isn’t too tough, the only problem will be trying to find a sniper rifle consistently. 500 is equivalent to five kills of enemies will no shields of two enemies with full shields and one with no shields.
  • Search 7 Chests in Haunted Hills – 5 Stars
Haunted Hills is quite a small location, but you can usually find one or two chests there. It’s not a popular landing spot either, so this should be achievable.
  • Use a Port-a-Fort once – 5 Stars
Another simple challenge – you just need to get a bit lucky. Once you find a Port-a-Fort, use it quickly, just in case you’re killed later in the game.
  • Search 8 F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E Letters – 5 Stars
We’ll have a guide for how to complete this challenge up shortly, so don’t worry. The treasure hunt challenges are always the most fun in Fortnite, and hopefully that’ll be no different in Season 4.
  • Follow the treasure map found in Tomato Town (Hard) – 10 Stars
As usual, you’ll be looking for the giant Battle Star marked on the map. We’ll have a guide on how to complete this up soon.
  • Get 3 Pistol Eliminations (Hard) – 10 Stars
Pistols aren’t the strongest weapons in Fortnite, so this one could be tricky. Try to catch people unaware, because you’ll need to sink some shots into them so you’re not melted by an Epic AR. Another strategy is to rush people early on in matches, because pistols are usually quite easy to find and unarmed opponents are easy.
  • Eliminate 3 opponents in Flush Factory (Hard) – 10 Stars
This is straightforward as well, drop in and head to Flush Factory. Since it’s this week’s challenge, there should be plenty of people around to engage.
