Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer: watch it here at 4pm UK time

Well, the time has come at last – after months of silence, Rockstar Games is set to drop a new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer.

Rockstar announced that they’d be showing off the new RDR2 trailer on Monday, so we’ve had a couple of days build up. We even know the time – 4pm UK time. That’s 11am Eastern and 8am Pacific for you people in North America. Europeans, that’s 5pm.

We’re going to embed the trailer on this page as soon as it appears, so keep this open or head back here then if you want to avoid having to scramble around YouTube to find it.

Red Dead Redemption Trailer 3: what to expect

It’s not yet clear what sort of trailer it will be, with Rockstar simply referring to it as “Red Dead Redemption Trailer #3”, not detailing what exactly it’ll focus on. GTA5 had a number of trailers leading up to release – some focusing on characters and story, others focusing on introducing the world, simulation and gameplay of the game.

Whatever this ends up being it’ll be interesting, however, since we currently know little about Red Dead Redemption 2 – Rockstar has kept things surprisingly quiet, so it’ll be exciting to get more new information of any type. The most recent news wasn’t the greatest, with RDR2 getting a delay to October 26, causing chaos in the release schedule as rival games flee from it. Things are looking up now, however: in a recent investor call, publisher Take Two said they were confident it wouldn’t see another delay.

We do know that RDR2 is actually a prequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption, which recently became playable at 4K thanks to the Xbox One X and Microsoft’s backwards compatibility scheme. The story will follow Arthur Morgan, an outlaw who becomes involved with the criminal Van der Linde gang. That gang will be familiar to players of the first Red Dead Redemption – that’s Dutch’s gang.

Some previous Red Dead Redemption 2 leaks have suggested that the game will include both new and familiar locations and a variety of vehicles including trains, horse-drawn carriages, minecarts and handcarts – and horses, of course. Rumours also say that first person mode and multiplayer will return, including an online battle royale mode.
