Epic Games has confirmed the start date for Fortnite Season 5.
With Season 4 almost done, Fortnite Season 5 will start on July 12 at 4am EDT – that’s 8am GMT.
To help players fill up the tiers of their Battle Pass, Fortnite players will get an extra 100% bonus XP this weekend, running from June 29 at 4am EDT (8am GMT) and ending July 2 at 3am EDT (7am GMT).
The confirmation of the Season 5 start date comes as Epic releases the new Fortnite Playground LTM, which allows up to four players to build and practice their games in a safe zone.
Today also brought with it dual pistols as a new weapon and swapped the grenade launcher for a fireworks launcher. Because everyone loves fireworks, right?
