You might not have noticed, but Fortnite is popular.
Kids love it, parents play it, dogs wish they could play it. You can’t go anywhere without seeing someone flossing these days. It’s an epidemic of unprecedented proportions.
Despite all this visual evidence of the game’s popularity, we’ve never had any hard facts as to how many people actually play. Luckily, Epic has just released its player numbers for August: 78.3 million.
“August was Fortnite’s biggest month yet, with 78.3 million of you showing up to play,” Epic revealed in an update on the Summer Skirmish.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the total player count – this is just how many people logged in and played last month. That means there are at least 78.3 million people in real life who have, at some point, done a dab. Cheers.
