This week’s reset in Destiny 2: Forsaken has seen the addition of a dungeon run, The Shattered Throne, and an important new change to Petra Venj’s Gateway between worlds bounty.
On completion of this bounty, you will now receive a third Seed of Light that will enable you to unlock the third new Super Subclass path. We’ve got a handy guide on how to unlock the first two, but it was thought for a time that the third could only be unlocked by defeating Kalli, the Corrupted, in the Last Wish raid.
Now, lower-level players will be able to unlock a new subclass path simply by completing this bounty. It costs 40 Dark Fragments to unlock, so make sure you complete Petra’s other bounties or look out for chests to gather these.
Petra’s bounties seem to rotate every few weeks so if you miss it this time around, it won’t be long until another opportunity comes around.
Much like before, players will have to compete in various tiers of The Blind Well to fill the bar to 100% and in return will be rewarded with an offering to the Oracle.
This time, after you interact with the Oracle Engine, you’ll open a portal to the Queen’s Court and will be greeted by the Queen of the Reef herself, Mara Sov. She’ll reward your services with a chest, and in amongst the normal kind of loot you’d expect there will be a Seed of Light. The portal to the Queen’s Court remains open after you receive the Seed of Light, which is definitely no coincidence.
This week has seen the Taken curse darken the Dreaming City map considerably and we are heading into the final week of the curse before the next big map reset, so there’s no guarantee this will be a permanent way of earning a new Seed of Light. We suggest heading to the Dreaming City as soon as you can to complete the bounty before the reset next Tuesday.
