One way to narrow things down is to ask yourself whether you’d like a mechanical gaming keyboard or a membrane one. The best mechanical gaming keyboards tend to be quite noisy and expensive, but they’re generally more durable and come with a lot more features than your typical membrane keyboard. Membrane gaming keyboards, on the other hand, are a lot cheaper and quieter than their mechanical counterparts, but they’re also more prone to breaking and are harder to repair.
